Notice Board - July 2021

Dear Member/Club
Notice of Meeting - Waikato Rowing Association Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, 25 August 2021 at Hamilton Rowing Club at 7.30pm. Please forward the names of your club delegates by Friday, 6 August to hello@rowingwaikato.co.nz

There have been many changes this last year to domestic rowing in NZ; the Rules of Racing, Reclassification; RPC's to name but a few, your input and feedback on all matters is essential to ensure our region has a voice. This year we have four (4) vacancies on the committee and encourage members/clubs to call for nominations and put names forward of those people that are passionate about rowing and want the best for our region. Please circulate to your members for discussion and note the deadlines for delegate and committee nominations. For further details visit our website

BE SEEN BE SAFE. Its coming up to that time of year especially around dawn and dusk when visibility is poor, that you need to be seen, make sure you have boat lights and use them. Make sure you have PFDs in all boats and use them.
Clubs please send us your incident reports. We are strong believers for sharing information to learn from one another. After all hindsight is 20/20 and the most serious safety breach of all is to do nothing.
